Módulo 1 : Hola, ¿cómo estás? / Hello, how are you?
🎉 Hola (Hello) and welcome to module 1 of your Spanish PLAN.
You are already a “Curious tourist”, and this is your first step to the top.
Module 1 is a very basic and simple module, but, in my opinion, it is one of the most important and satisfying.
You may say: “But Elena, it is really important to start with this?”.
Well, we could skip that part, BUT in my experience, if you see this now, it will be easier for you later. Why?
First, because what you learn here will serve as the basis for the rest of the modules, which are very practical.
And second, because it is the module that will help you make first contact with locals when you arrive in Andalusia.
Andalusians love when a foreigner says good morning, good night or thank you in Spanish. That makes us smile immediately! 😊
These are very simple things with extraordinary results. 🤗
The objective of this module is that at the end of it you will know:
– How to greet in Spanish
– Introduce yourself in a basic way
– Say the date (numbers, days of the week and months)
– Say which colors you like and which ones you don’t
– Ask and tell the time
It is basically a module of basic expressions and vocabulary. It doesn’t require a great effort and will facilitate later learning.
Let me tell you my own story. My sad-to-happy, real story.
Maybe, you are wondering right now what a mess you are in. The first day you put yourself in front of a new language, everything is dark.
I still remember my first German class, in Germany, my husband and I in an intensive course of 6 hours a day in which an “old school” German teacher squeezed us to the limit.
I remember clearly that day, that man staring at me and asking “what’s your name” in German. I didn’t know what he was asking me or what I should answer.
And he insisted again and again. Poor man, if he had known that my head was more blocked than my mouth. Impossible to say anything.
And I remember that, during breaks, I was going out the school, to the street, and cried repeating to me that I would never get it.
But finally, step by step, I ended up learning German from zero!
It was only a matter of make the “click” in your brain, and the exercises of pronunciation and the German alphabet helped me a lot.
And now, I can speak German!
I have learned a lot about the process of learning a new language through “learning them”. This phrase is like a tongue-twister, isn’t it? 😄
What I mean is that I have gone through the process of learning a new language several times and now I know what is the learning methods that worked for me. And I’m convinced that this method could also help you to have that “transformation”, that has helped me to build this “Plan” for you. 😉
When we started with French, we hired a teacher who spent a full month teaching us the different sounds of letters and pronunciation.
At first, I thought we were wasting time, and later I understood how useful those classes were for all the subsequent learning. ✌️
Learn, learn, learn … from good and bad. But I’m sure you love learning new things, right? That’s why you are here! 😊👍
Today is that first day for you, and I hope you always remember it as the first day of a transformation that allowed you to live wonderful experiences.
The goal is not Spanish itself, but when you go to Andalusia you will have a wonderful experience. And with my help and a little effort on your part, you are going to get it, I’m sure.
